Rainbow Landscape Irrigation & Maintenance (landscape contractor) did this landscape project in the city of Novato, Marin County, California. The homeowner wanted to optimize the backyard space by creating more outdoor living space for recreation and family entertainment. An existing client from Rainbow Landscape recommended our company to this potential client, whom had some ideas to enhance his backyard space. This homeowner called us to discuss the landscaping project and explain his ideas and expectations. The homeowner decided to do with a barbecue island and a fireplace.
The barbecue island was built with concrete cinderblock reinforced with 1/2" rebar and powered by a natural gas line. The BBQ island includes the following characteristics: countertop with natural stone finish, fridge, BBQ grill made of stainless steel with side burners, electricity outlet to plug in electrical devices, sink, utility drawers & wine cooler. This barbecue island has a complete set up. The BBQ island has a veneer stone finish.
The construction of the fireplace was similar to the barbecue island: cinderblock reinforced with 1/2" rebar, powered by a natural gas line as well. The fireplace is 7 ft high with stone sitting benches on both sides and veneer stone finish with ornamental natural stones.
