Resurfacing old concrete backpatio and area around the pool with new flagstone-look finish.
Rainbow Landscape Irrigation & Maintenance (Landscape contractor) did this outdoor project in the city of Novato, Marin County, California. The existing concrete surface in the backpatio and pool area was cracked, faded and there were weeds and grass growing between the cracks. Aesthetically speaking, the surface looked really bad and it was in poor condition.
The first step was power washing the entire concrete surface and let it dry completely. The second step was to seal the cracks with solid concrete. The third step was to resurface the entire concrete surface by applying a coating of eurostone concrete material. Then we lay out the custom designed pattern on the surface using tape. Upon completion of the lay out, a second coating with eurostone concrete material was applied, but this time this coating was mixed with colorant. Before this second coating completely dried up, we carefully removed the tape. Finally, the last step was to applied sealer to the surface and the job is finished. The result was a new concrete surface with flagstone-look finish, which resembles a newly built surface in the backyard and pool area.
