Rainbow Landscape Irrigation & Maintenance (landscape contractor) did this hardscaping & landscaping project in Petaluma, California. This landscape project included a completely new landscape for the entire property.

For the front yard, we built and installed a white picket fence on the left side of the driveway garage. Behind this picket fence, a strip of artificial grass was laid out.  This property is located in the corner of the block, and this corner is round-shaped, and along this round side of the house another white picket fence was installed going from the right side of the driveway garage around to the right side of the house. At the end of this picket fence, a 6 ft high custom-built redwood fence was installed going all the way to the back of the property.  Natural sod was installed in the front lawn along with an irrigation system. Colorful plants were planted to enhance the look of the front lawn.

In the side yard, we built an Arizona stone pathway with red brick bordering that starts in the front lawn gate, goes along the side yard and turns around and crosses  the entire backyard as well. Then we installed artificial turf for a playground area. The last thing in the side yard was creating a long and narrow garden bed, which was completed with planting shrubs and plants along with a drip system. The stone pathway separates the garden bed from the artificial grass.

For the backyard, we built an Arizona flagstone stone patio in one corner of the backyard to match up the stone walkway in the side yard. We built two steps to connect the stone walkway and the flagstone backpatio. Then we installed a gazebo over this stone patio. Stone columns are holding this gazebo. Also, we built a couple of stone garden beds and applied the same Arizona flagstone finish. In the other side of the backyard, we built a barbecue island, which included fridge, electrical outlets, side burners, stainless barbecue grill and utility drawers. This BBQ island is powered by natural gas line, has stucco finish and countertop with Santa Cruz tile finish. On top of the barbecue island area, a custom-built redwood pergola was installed. We did some planting and mulching as well.
